I have a Sears 1/2 HP GDO circa 1996. It works fine. My car was stolen at work with one of the remotes. I bought a new one at sears. I pushed the green button and the new remote works fine. Question: is there a way to lock out the stolen remote?

If you hold that green button in for 6 seconds it will erase the memory of your receiver and none of your remotes or your keypad will work. You now need to program each one and this should eliminate the stolen remote.

Thanks so much don, I did as instructed and it went smooth. The wife feels more secure too!
