My problem is probably easily resolved, I'm sure if I had the manual for my GDO. I have a Crafsman 1/2 hp. The door operates fine except when it closes it (seemingly and randomly) bounces back up up and starts the cycle again.

I believe there are sensitivity controls, two adjustments located on the side, as well as two others on the back. I just thought it would be easier to find the manuals before i started spinning four different controls. Does anyone have any idea where i could locate such a manual...Thanks

The controls on the side are for the limits they control how far up and down the door goes. The two dials on the back are force adjustments. Locate the down force and turn it up a little bit until the door closes consitently. If the door hits the ground and then reverses you may need to adjust the down limit. You do that by turning the down limit screw clockwise a quarter to a half turn at a time.

You can go to sears website and type in your model number. They may have an online manual there.
