Electric Garage Door Opener Not Working Properly

Have an electric garage door that is not working properly. Opening either with the remote or interior button works fine. Door will not close with the remote. Door will close with the interior button if continually held down.

Check the door sensors. Make sure they are pointed at one another. They each have a small light that should be on. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have bad sensors.

Thanks. Will check the door sensors.

You were right Don. The rail was loose on the left and after tightening to the wall the sensors lined up correctly and the door closed just fine. Could not see a light on either sensor though.
