need advice re damaged wood furniture

A guest spilled white wine on my lovely mahogany desk, which left a white stain. Alas, I did not discover this until the next day, as a plastic coaster had been put over it. I have tried the use of those oils that say they remove white rings but no go. What to do???

I use these. You can usually find them at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Lowe's and Ace Hardware.

It will make the finish glossy, so it's not for low-sheen finishes unless you are able to dull it back down with abrasion or adding some more lacquer (e.g., aerosol).

Thanks so much for the suggestion. That stuff really works! I think it has fish oil in it.
