Maple.

my 1st thought is a straight grain maple. but if all you want is the looks of this wood , then straight grain maple's the way to go. this wood has 60yr of ageing and developed a patina so you'll have to experiment with stain but that's no big deal.

Thank you for the replies. I think if I could get close with a stain then that would work well. I have access to plenty of maple so I will see what I can come up with that will flow. Again thank for helping me figure this out.

glad to help. maybe use an oil base stain. it gives you time to work and you don't have to worry about it drying too fast. also sneak up on the color and darkness of the wood color. it's easy to add more stain, not so easy to take it off evenly. you might start off with a wood conditioner, that'll help the wood take the stain evenly. with the yellow tint of the maple, try brown cherry stain and blend other colors from there. email if i can help.
