Leather Reclining Sofa and Loveseat

I am new to the forum but I have read through a bunch of post on different furniture makers but what I am finding is that all of this higher end manufacturers do not make reclining sofa's or loveseats. I am looking for leather but my main concern is the quality of the reclining mechanism. I have had reclining sofa in the past and my biggest complaint is the mechanism that reclines the sofa over time gets bent from use and ends up getting caught on the inside of the sofa and messing up the wood. So I am looking for guidance in my search as to what the best materials used to make the reclining mechanism (higher grade steel?) also specific manufacturers that make them.

Thank you!

Recliners by their nature are problematical as they are kind of a contraption and somewhat dangerous with small kids. The ones from Hickory Springs and Legget and Platt are probalby best and they make the majority of mechanisms. In my opionion a sofa with ottomans is a better choice. It will last longer and it is more comfortable.
