Kitchen table/chairs... saloom, zimmerman, canadel

| I am looking at getting a new kitchen table and chairs. I priced out some Zimmerman as the salesperson at a retailer nearby said its a better quality for the money over canadel or saloom. They carried Saloom but she didn't price it out for me. Zimmerman is out of New York but I cannot find any info on the web about it. Trouble is its over my budget. THe table wasn't bad at $1191 (42 by 64) but four side chairs were $1988 and this is before tax! DH would like me to spend around 1500.00 for a table and four side chairs. The canadel set I priced out if around 2500 before tax at a separate retailer so its a bit lower than the Zimmerman. Any input on these manufacturers? The wood from Zimmerman is cherry or oak. Saloom and Canadel are birch. I would appreciate any comments suggestions... Is there a company who offers these "you design" options but not so costly? |
