New furniture came, sofa wrong color

Posted by bobber4 (My Page) on

We just got our new Smith Bros. living furniture (sofa, two chairs and leather recliner) for our new house. Had the decorator help me pick the fabrics. The furniture is beautiful BUT, the sofa seems to be the wrong color. It is a goldish brown tweed but it has a definite orange cast we were going to use red accents (and I am set on the red accents).
I am sick. I am so worn out from making all the new house decisions and now this. Anyone have any ideas? Do I call the furniture dealer and talk to him? I know the DH is sick of me obscessing and I so want to be done with this whole ordeal! Help!!

If it is not the fabric that you ordered call them. If the decorator is from the store, explain to them the situation of how the color is off. I purchased a floor model dining set few years back and ordered four more chairs. The new chairs had a pink tinge to them. I phoned the manufacturer and they said no problem and refinished the other four chairs or gave me four new chairs, not sure which they did. I was quite surprised how accommodating they were especially since everything was bought at a discount. Good luck, I know how upsetting it can be.
