Henredon dresser quality

Hello furniture forum -

I found a nice looking dark brown Henredon dresser for sale for $150. It has what looks like "dark brass" corner pieces and square type pulls on drawers.

Is Henredon a good quality furn. maker? I will have to drive a long way to investigate this piece and/or buy it, and was hoping to get some info before I make the drive if its not worth it.

The seller says it's in excellent shape with just a few very minor nicks, etc.

Any thoughts???

Henredon is one of the top tier domestic manufacturers. It sounds like you are describing a "campaign style" piece. I would say if the condition is good or better, it's probably worth it.

Thanks, kmealy! I was wondering what "style" is was. We are going to look at it this afternoon, and we'll see what kind of shape it's in. I appreciate the info.

If it is in good shape it is a steal! Sounds like it might be series 1? Check it out on ebay to be sure. Good luck.

Henredon is an excellent furniture company, I do have the campaign furniture from them , however, the a number of the drawer handles
have broken and it has been impossible to find replacements. If anyone has any infor on this is would be greatly appreciated.
