| We recently purchased a sectional and are now trying to decide the appropiate size for an area rug. The sectional is L-shaped measuring 106 x 106. Do we go with an 8 x 10 or a 9 x 12? Overall room measurement is 16'2" x 16"5".
Is there a general rule of thumb...front legs on the rug, back legs off? Furniture on or off the rug?

| The rule of thumb is furniture either on or off the rug....no frpont legs on back legs off....but also there is a "rule" that says rules were made to be broken. I would do a rug even larger..15 by...whatever...14 or 12. |
