9-9-2009 Aisha from the service department was very rude and hung up the phone on me when I was trying to find info on my claim. I was told that if I refuse the service from the tech that they sent out I will void my claim, the issue is the tech they sent out looked like he was just released from jail and I am a small woman at home by myself. The customer service reps spoke over me and then just hung up.

that was very unprofessional of her ,i know Aisha and she is not the type of person to be like this i would try contacting guardian again and ask to speak to someone else in the claims department and just let them know you have a claim in but you do not like the appearance of the technician who has been to your home ask if they could 1 get another company to come out or 2 ask the company who has your claim to send someone else out with a more professional appearance.Good luck

I had a terrible experience with this company. I hope people who read this do not use this company or pay for the protection. They RUINED my Ralph Lauren upholstered sofa. It took me several months to get come to a conclusion. They only reimbursement I received was the cost of the protection service. When I went to have the cushions replaced by the same fabric, of course the dye lots were too varied and the entire frame needed to be recovered.

Is that the same company as Guardsman Gold Protection?

I am not sure. I would think they would be different. My advice would be to get a copy of the cleaning instructions from the fabric supplier. I would give a copy to your service technician. Then I would make sure they made 2 trips to your home. 1 for testing and 1 for cleaning.

its interesting information you have sharing here. We know that furniture is most important to make our home more beautiful and attractive. So people always look for new and latest style furniture for their home.

Q:Is that the same company as Guardsman Gold Protection? A: No, completely separate. Guardsman is a division of Valspar.

Thanks to all. Does that mean that Guardsman is reputable?

I think so, but I may be biased. I service about 300 claims a year for them as a local technician. I have a 99%+ success rate. There will always be unsatisfied customers, but my experience is that they are generally those that say, "But the salesman said..." (meaning what they understood the salesman to say) and those that don't like the steps involved in filing a claim. The process has improved over the years and I think it will improve over the future. Several years ago, I inquired with Guardian regarding doing work for them and never heard back. Stainsafe has pretty much gone belly up.
