I purchased a relatively expensive Villa Cortina Bedroom set made by Universal Furniture. After only 2 years all the trim molding is cracking and peeling and exposing a wax type molding beneath. I contacted Universal direct who offers ONLY A 1 YEAR warranty on their furniture. They are not willing to do anything. The store I purchased it from is out of business. I wish I had looked into this manufacturer before spending the money on a such a poorly constructed set. My advice to anyone considering to purchase furniture made by UNIVERSAL FURNITURE, is simply DON'T. There are many other manufacturers out there at the same price point that build better quality furniture. Universal is made in China.
