Been looking at a new sofa

We have made the rounds, Star, Rooms to go, Gallery Furniture, Bel, LaZy Boy, etc.

We really liked some of the stuff at Star, but the couches were either too deep, felt like you were laying down when you were meaning to be sitting up, or too expensive, or mostly leather when the wife and I want a fabric couch.

LaZy boy didn't really have anything we liked, nor did Gallery. Rooms to Go and Bel just didn't look good at all.

So we walked into Basset today, and were surprised to find some couches that were firm, not really deep, fabric, and affordable to our budget. Also, they were firm which we liked.

We first really liked the Kennedy sofa, but it looks a little too modern for the furnishings in the house

, the CU2 couch was really nice but you leaned back a little too far.

We then found these two couches: The Alex and the Brewster. We can get a sofa and a loveseat of either of these two couches for $2300 delivered. They have the sofa's on sail for a special price and the loveseats will have the 25% off labor day sail. We love the Brewster in Coccoa http://www.bassettfurniture.com/Traditional-Style-Upholstered-Sofa-DZ21059.asp

and the Alex in Mocha

Just curious if anyone has any opinions on these or experience with them?

Also, have read reports about fabric pilling on sofas after you buy it, is there anything to look for on the fabric to avoid this?
