Does anyone have experience with wool mattress toppers?

We have a 6 mo. old bed, which is the first I've had in 10 years that I don't wake up with back pain. It's a "natural" mattress with wool, cotton and latex, and springs on an adjustable slat system.

I love the bed, however, wake up with soreness on my shoulders- pressure points (I sleep on my side). I've tried a latex topper and didn't like the feel, can't stand memory foam. A cheap "eggcrate" polyurathane foam has helped, but it's wearing out and I want to replace with something more natural.

Thinking about a wool mattress topper. Does anyone have experience with one for relieving pressure points on a firm bed?
