I recently purchased a new Universal dining room set (Texas Hill Country). We had issues with the delivery (i.e. it was dropped and gashed); and are waiting on a reorder. However, I've noticed that the dining room table is scratching horribly (with very minimal use). We also can't seem to sit at the table without leaving a horrible white smudgey film. I have to clean it daily.

I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue with this manufacturer? I spoke to the furniture store I've ordered from and they have offered for me to pick out a new set. I really like the set and searched a long time for a look both DH and I could both agree upon.

Any advise is appreciated.
