I have a wood end table that I spilled hot water on and scalded the surface. it appears white where the scalding occured. Is there anyway I can restore the color.

same answer as below.

Worst case, strip and refinish.

RE: Hot water spilled on wood table

I bought an antique table that had shadowy white patches from water. I used a very soft cloth and a regular iron to remove it. Just put the cloth over the spot and iron it at medium temp for a minute or two. It worked like a charm. I tested on another table that I didn't mind ruining first.
