| Hello. I am renting a furnished apartment. Our cat had some growing pains, particularly with scratching the corner of the couch. It is not time to move out and I would like to avoid buying the couch and chair. I have cut the fibers as best as I can, but it is still not quite there. It is a beige cloth couch, microfiber? I am not sure exactly. Hope the photos show how it is.
Big thanks! http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/35/p1010632b.jpg/

| Go get a "knit picker" at a local fabric or crafts store. Run it though the fabric near a snag, come out at the snag and hook the loose fibers and pull them in. It may also need an upholstery regulator (an ice pick would do) to work the fibers back into place. With a little time and patience, you should get a reasonable repair. |

| I was at the sewing machine repair shop today and saw a "Snag Nab It" that looks like it would work also. I plan to get one when I pick up my machine back up. |
