I have a sand colored microfiber sofa that needs to be cleaned. I'm considering having it professionally done; Sears charges $100. Does microfiber clean up well? Is the price good? Thanks!

That's about the going rate. Microfiber cleans extremely well. I've often said if I could only clean one type of fabric, microfiber would be it. (I've probably cleaned a few hundred pieces of microfiber and never had a problem getting it clean).

Vacuum the micro fiber sofa about once every one or two weeks. It does not need to be cleaned as often as other materials.

I vacuum mine or use a damp cloth. It is brown and doesn't show much dirt. However, a few times a year I will spray it with a foaming upholstry cleaner. Mine is made by 409. It's good stuff but sort of stinky. Therefore, I don't use it alot. I clean my friend's homes for extra cash and I used it on a white sofa. It pulled the dirt out really well and looked brand new. ALWAYS TEST a hidden area first :)
