Tracy, try Smith Brothers of Berne. It is a US company and made in Indiana. If you go to their website you can read about how there furniture is crafted. I became aware of them when I was looking for furniture for our second home. I went with a less expensive brand and was disappointed. We are now remodeling our living room in our main home and I am going with Smith Brothers.

I do have two Bradington Young chairs and they are beautiful and well made also and I think price point wise they are close to Smith Brothers.

Tracy, I agree with Holly-Kay...In fact, we made our purchase today. I have been online researching, and sitting in and laying on B-Y, Hancock and Moore and Smith Brothers of Berne since December! This week we finally put it all together. I live in eastern NC and there are 3 furniture stores within 50 miles from me that I was able to visit that carry all three. One is having a week long sale only on Smith Brothers and the other two claimed to have a sale going on. Please shop around to stores in your area for any manufacturer that you choose. The store that had the week long sale, had the best sale and I will tell you they were almost $1000. cheaper than the other two stores and we placed a custom order to get what we wanted. We ordered a sofa and tilt back chair and ottoman. (love the tilt back chair, I am not a fan of ottomans but chose a tilt back with ottoman over the recliner) We will buy an occasional chair in fabric but are going to wait until the leather set arrives and is in place in our home to see what fabric and paint colors will work best with it in our lighting. B-Y- Not all of their leathers are prepared in the US because of the chemicals used. I don't remember which ones, I read it online. Good luck!
