We've an open floor plan in our living room with darker solid wood floors throughout.

At one end is the kitchen with maple cabinets and island sink and dishwasher. At the other end of the floor is a chocolate colored leather sofa ( http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=252644&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results&zip=98296 ) with decent space in between.

I was thinking of adding a white dining set from Dania ( http://www.daniafurniture.com/home_dining_tables/item/3081 ). I was wondering if it'll look odd if I've a white dining set with dark brown sofa two feet away. Also I'm thinking of painting the walls behind the sofa in sage green color (herbal wash from sherwin williams).

I'd greatly appreciate any advice.
