Quality of AICO furniture

I am contemplating buying a sofa and 2 chairs made by AICO (Michael Amini) and I wanted to know if anyone knows the quality of their furniture. The furniture will go in my formal living room which we don't use that much. Thanks!

RE: Quality of AICO furniture

What you want to do in this case is to educate yourself in what to look for in good quality upholstered furniture. You want to look at how the frame is made and what it is made of. Kiln dried solid hardwood is best, not hardwood plywood. Most companies use plywood. Then consider the spring construction, 8 way hand tied is best. Then what type of cushion is used and finally how is the tailoring. You might also want to consider the country where the furniture is made. How much can you afford to spend? And how long do you want it to last? Most sofas last 5-7 years except for the really well built ones. Answer these questions. You could ask the salesperson at the store and then draw your own conclusions
