Furniture and rug protection - what to use?

Posted by sherriz (My Page) on

I would like to protect my new furniture and jute rug from spills, etc. I know jute is difficult to remove stains from but my sofa and upholstered chairs should still get treated. I hear that Scotchguard isn't what it is cracked up to be. What are others using with success? Anyone hear of FiberGuard or ForceField?

Check with the manufacture as most fabrics sold has already been treated with a stain repellant finish. Adding more will not help as your only paying for the insurance that comes from these products, not more protection. Check the BBB for complaints about these products.
