I have a smaller area and want to find a table that I can fit in there that can seat at least six but hopefully 8 people. I figured a square table that is about 54" x 54" would be pretty much perfect. Ideally I would like an "expresso" color. But I want it to be the standard 30" height, not counter or bar height. Please help!!

Probably have to get it built for you. Not much demand for 54" square tables as the project far into the room on the corners and folks can't pass food across the table without coming out of their chair. A seating position is typically 24" minimum, so that means legs far outboard or a center pedestal to seat 8.

Must it be 54 inches square? There was a pretty standard old oak table which was 45 to 48 inches square. Most also have/had leaves. See it that will work for you....because there are more than a few out there for sale. Linda C

Arhaus sells a few square dining tables. The Colonial is my favorite, but the also have a couple that can expand. The seat 8 people really comfortably. I wish i had the space for it, but no such luck.

Take a look at this table. Without extensions it is 60 x 30. With 2 extensions it becomes 60" square.
