I have this table from Stanley:

It's a 60" circle and with the leaves it expands to a 78" circle. However, a 78" circle is a VERY inefficient use of space.

I'm wondering if (a) if it would be possible to have a craftsman convert it to expand into an oval (splitting in the middle) and (b) how I would go about finding a skilled and reputable person to do this for me, since I would be heartsick if the project went awry.

I'm in Minnesota, but I would be willing to transport it to a nearby state if I found a trustworthy person to do the conversion.
