I'm going through a similar dilemma, but I haven't gotten as far as you - I'm still searching for upholstery fabric. May I ask you for some details about your fabric? Who makes it, where did you get, was it very expensive? I don't mind "spending the money" but I have no idea what's reasonable.

My chairs are somewhat similar to yours in style, with chromed steel legs. I think that look works best with a contemporary design, sleek and not too fussy.
