Klausner tufted sofa --what fabric to get?

I have been looking for a tufted sofa for a while now. I really, really like this one : (Klaussner Flynn)

although, I have not seen it in person.

My question is what fabric would be good? It won't be used a lot because it is in a formal living room.

Is velvet a good option? I love chenille but I am not crazy about the colors it comes in.

I am thinking of a red or burgundy because the wall and carpet will be tan and I could use a punch of color.
