Simple table/desk

I'm looking for a simple table to use in my home office as a desk. There's enough storage elsewhere in the room that it isn't important ( although a drawer for pens or a shelf for paperwork would be useful ). I'm looking for a normal size (60x30x30, or close to it). This table will see a lot of writing, so a reliably flat surface ( no seams or leaves, etc) is important, as is something that can handle routine cups of water/coffee ( including an occasional one that spills).

I know that plastic may seem like the cheapest solution, and I'm not completely opposed. However, aside from attractiveness, I have some other concerns - it will routinely have people leaning/sitting on it, so stability is essential. Also, the floor is really not level, so something with individually adjustable legs is ideal.

Any suggestions?

I'm not sure of your style and taste but I would consider this desk from Crate and Barrel
