Can I do better for the price?

I am looking at getting the Doss Sofa from Macys for $1300. It was a comfortable couch and all but I just got a Elliot from Macys 7months ago which turned out to be a piece of crap. So I'm looking to exchange the Elliot for the Doss but I'd like to know if I could get better quality for around the same place from somewhere else.

Postelrich what you really have to do is to do some research in what makes up a quality piece of upholstery before making another purchase. Ask the sales rep about the frame, spring and cushion construction. It might be worthwhile to spend a little more and buy something that will last longer. The typical sofa last about 5 years. A quality sofa can last for decades.

All I know is that the quality of microfiber is supposedly better than my current, it has feather cushions instead of foam, and its made by macrearie whereas the old one was made by jonathon lewis. Do you know if macrearie is a reliable manu?
