I watched it, that is how I ended up here. Was looking at furniture. The furniture featured on the show was made by Harden. I'm planning on checking it out.

I heard a Harden rep speak a few years ago. Not only are they made in USA, but they also own a lot of their standing timber (i.e., trees for future harvest).

I went to a liquidation sale last week in the next town over. When I got there, I found out that the furniture business there (est. 1890) was closing their doors. Office supplies, tools, hardware, finished and partially finished furniture all for sale. Thirty+ jobs gone.

Perdue Woodworks makes good pressed board furniture which can usually be had cheaply. I feel it is one step superior to Standard which I believe is at least partially domestic.

Harden has some wonderful furniture! I've visited their factory in NY and it's quite impressive.
