Daniel Johnson Furnishings? NYC Est. 1888

Has anyone heard or know anything about this manufacturer.

I came across this buffet at Goodwill today, and it was gorgeous. I'm not sure it will blend in with my existing dining room decor, so I'm 'sleeping on it', and if it is still there tomorrow I may take that as a sign it was meant to be.

The thing is a beast. Extremely heavy, solid wood backing. The top half of the left side opens up on a hinge to reveal a velvet lined silver drawer.

I have googled extensively, but I can not find any information about this manufacturer.

Oh, I meant to also ask what style you think that piece would be called?

It was in fantastic condition. I'm a bit concerned about getting into the house, it's so heavy!
