Can Anyone Recommend A Recliner

Posted by auggie1020 (My Page) on

I am normally pretty stingy, but I want to splurge and buy a really nice recliner. I am 6 foot and 200 lbs. I want the best! One that I will never want to get out of. One that will only get better with age. It will be a compliment to a sofa set in our theatre room (Only I, the King, will be allowed to sit in it though). I have seen some bad posts re: Lazy Boys (not what they used to be; bad customer service, etc.). Anyone have an opinion as to who makes/sells the really nice recliners?

Nothing is going to get better with age....however you can purchase recliners that are considerably better built than La-Z-Boy. Buy leather, it lasts 4x longer than fabric, and get a recliner that uses a Leggit and Platt mechanism, that the best in the industry.

RE: Can Anyone Recommend A Recliner

What manufacturers use this mechanism?

There are others, I'm sure, but for starters:

Hancock and Moore
Bradington Young
Classic Leather

How about fabric recliners manufacturers with the Leggitt and Platt mechanism?
