Kashmira has some serious drawbacks. We purchased a flexsteel sofa with kashmira upholstery. We were told it was basically indestructible. Wrong. It does clean very easy. That part is true. Pasta sauce wiped right off of it. Remarkable. We've had problems, however, with holes in the material. If you puncture the material in any way it destroys the integrity of the fibers. So if you put a needle in the arm while sewing or, say, you cat jumps onto the couch and leaves a puncture, over time the material pulls away from that spot. Please keep in mind, we're not talking about cats scratching the furniture. We're talking about them jumping onto and off of the sofa. Right now there are two dime size holes in the material in the seat cushion. I can't even place the source of them but they keep getting bigger. The base of the fabric is still intact but it is the.....I guess the pile, like on a carpet, is the best way to describe it....that seems to continually pull away. It is terribly disappointing.

This is the most amazing fabric! 3 dogs 1 cat absolutley no issues. Easy to clean even blood! I've had this vail sofa for 5 yrs now.

Our gold loveseat is now a washed out beige within 5 years - it faded terribly. Also, small tears have appeared throughout the piece, even in sections that are rarely sat on. Lastly, stains have appeared and I cannot remove them. I wouldn't buy this again.
