Any experiences with a Dux bed/mattress?

Posted by bcflower (My Page) on

Does anyone have any experience with a Dux (made by Duxiana) bed or mattress? These things are extremely expensive and I really, really wonder if they are worth their price, especially since they do not refund your $ or even exchange the mattress if you are not happy.

thanks!!

(If this has already been discussed, please let me know, I did a search and could not find it)

Bought one (king) and had it for 2 years. Ended up buying another (queen) for another bedroom.

Have only praise for these beds and service has been exceptional. Had a little question about pads (I am large 6'4" and 260 lb). They came to the house, said that improvements had been made and replaced the pads N/C. Usually $1500.00.

Recommend.

Ah......1 1/2 years later.

The bed is terrible after 7 years with new pads.

Called and they said that they had replaced the pads in 2000 and that if I wanted to replace them again, it would be $1200.00.

Forget it.

Went out and found a great small mattress company, Gold Bond and purchased their top of the line king and it's wonderful.

Forget the Dux..........too much money and they don't stand behind their product.

What's happened to common sense in this country? Generation X and Y has mastered only two things. Self indulgence and drinking the kool-aid. This generation WANTS someone to tell them that the more they spend the better off they'll be. Now there are mattresses selling for $20,000 to $60,000 in NYC. I kid you not, you can google it. Home Ec should be a graduation requirement for 8th AND 12th grade. Is it even offered anymore?

Any queen spring bed over $1500 (or visco over $3500) is simply a means to bag a sucker. And you don't even have to spend that much for a really, really great mattress.
