Hello everyone,

Long time lurker here... first time poster

I'm currently building a house with my wife and we've been giving some considerations to how we want to go about decorating our great room. I'm mainly having a bit of difficulty with the furniture layout and doorway/window/fireplace locations.

I'd like to have a couple places to sit (since its a larger room), but I'd also like to be able to have the TV in the center of the west wall in the room (see attached). I'd prefer that wall than the corner for surround sound reasons.

Anyone have suggestions on how to use the space? The attached photo references my thoughts, anyone have any other suggestions?
