I have what I've been told is a roman stool or roman bench that needs reupholstering.
The seat is curved fabric and I want to be sure I put it on so that it supports weight for sitting.
Right now the padding has long since dropped out of there so I can't see how it was originally done.

The fabric underneath is just wrapped and stapled over the sides and hangs in a U-shape unsupported
would love some advice!!
