Feizy Rug Discount and odor

I am wanting to purchase an 8x11 Feizy 8055F rug for the basement. This rug runs around $1750. The best discount I can find is 15% off with free shipping. Does anyone know where I can find a better discount? Thanks!

I looked up the rug you are considering. In my opinion it is way overpriced for a hand-tufted rug. Tufted rugs are made with glue that often contains odors.

I've enclosed a link from the Home Dec side of GW that dealt with many of these issues. I would look on Ebay, Overstock or Smart Bargains. You could get a hand-knotted for that price. Another option would be a hand woven. Both of those styles use no glue and show the knotting of the wool on the back of the rug.

Here is an example of a hand-knotted Fiezy at Smartbargains.

When you do a search there or at Overstock, click the size you want and then start with the most expensive ones. That will weed out the hand-tufted.

There are other nice knotted and woven rugs, there.

Just checked the link and it said that the item is no longer available?? Oh well, just do the search like I outlined above and good luck. :)
