| I am considering purchasing a Pottery Barn sofa with the mocha/chocolate brown velvet slipcover. I am concerned that the velvet will not wear well over time. For instance, I usually sit in the same spot on the couch. Will the nap of the velvet get matted down? They have 2 types of velvet - one is called "plus velvet" and the other just simply "velvet" so I was also curious if you recommend one over the other?
Thanks in advance! |

| What is the fabric? I had a sofa done in dacron velvet and it lasted forever....and I have a sofa now done in cotton velvet....and it does show the "sit spot"....but a brush with your hand and it's gone. I wouldn't consider viscose or rayon velvet. Linda C |
