Rocky Butte Unfinished Furniture

Does anyone have experience with Rocky Butte unfinished furniture? I am looking at the Bordeaux line. I would love real "adult" furniture, but have a 15 year old cat with all claws intact. She likes to jump on my nightstand and scratches them up. With unfinished I will be able to repair after she dies.
