| I've been looking at used furniture on Craigslist as I am needing a sofa and a couple comfortable chairs. Someone is selling a Thomasville set - sofa and 2 chairs. 5 years old, but was used in a formal room, so not often sat on. They say they paid about $3000. and are asking $1500.
It is a nice set, but the price seems high to me. Is there a general rule about pricing used furniture? TIA |

| Around here, most people are lucky to 25%-30% of price paid. I've noticed that prices are higher on Craigslist lately. I think people are trying to milk every dollar they can... |
| Sounds high to me. I would think $1,000 or less. |
| I was thinking between $800. and $1000. too. Thanks. I may decide to make an offer in a week or two and see what she says. |
| When I have posted used furniture on Craigs list, I always ask more than I really want to to sell it for because people ALWAYS want to negotiate. It doesn't hurt to make an offer~ |
