Furniture (Sofa, Chairs) Quality?

Posted by wintersummer (My Page) on

I'm interested in purchasing quality furniture, pieces to hopefully last a considerable period of time. I'm not looking for trendy or stylish - just something that will stand the test of time, in the way it looks and the way it holds up.

Here's the question: is the quality of furniture related to price paid for furniture? In other words, if I want "quality", should I be looking at the most expensive brands I could possibly purchase? And, if that is the case, can you recommend which brands to start looking at.

there is an old saying: There are no miracles.
Good quality furniture is and will always be expensive. Unfortunately, there is some bad furniture that is also expensive.
Try to stay away from made in china. European, latin american and american made tend to be much better quality.
In my opinion, italians are the very best for leather sofa. What price are you looking at? I may have some tips. You can pm.
