Change the leather color?

I love the Elite Pharaoh barstools. DH wants leather. I don't like Elite's medium brown because it is cinnamon (bright).

Is there something I could put on the cinnamon leather that would slightly darken it, yet wouldn't migrate onto clothing?

An exact even tone isn't necessary - so if I had the right product, I'm sure I could be happy.

Ideas? The local dealer suggested recovering at about $150 per stool. Kind of costly...

Just do COL (Customer's Own Leather) and order them that way. DO NOT try to tone the existing leather. Those stools take very little material, probably would only need 6 to 8 square feet per barstool. Typical COL hide prices are appx $ 15 to $ 20 per square foot.

RE: Change the leather color?

Thanks for this idea -

So I would buy a hide at Tandy or such and provide that to them and then the additional cost would be $20 per chair? We are buying seven chairs which I think would require 2 hides. This chair has a seat plus front and back to the back.
