Mirror for armoire with glass door?

Hello! I have a large old oak armoire that has a glass pane in a wooden frame for the door. It is in my bedroom and NOT holding lovely dishes and curios. All you see if folded clothes on shelves or hanging clothes if I put a bar in there.

I had one glass company come over and look at it to have the glass replaced with a mirror and they said it couldn't be done - the mirror would be too heavy.

Hs anyone done anything like this? I don't care if it is a cheap mirror but I need something to cover those clothes. It seems like the door mirrors you buy in discount stores are pretty thin, but I need something about 3 times as wide as a door mirror. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

MY idea for "hidding" what is in your amoire is--- get some pretty fabric that would complement your bedroom & make a curtain for the inside of the glass. You can get a very tiny rod. In fact you will need two, one for top & one for bottom. Stretch the fabric tight on the rod , & make the width double the width of the window. I did this in a oak cupboard that I have in my kitchen. I use it for a sorta pantry & don't want the "stuff" showing. I used a cream fabric since my kitchen has wallpaper & I didn't want it too busy.
