 o
leather recliner problem... what stores?

We bought a leather leather loveseat recliner from Sofa Mart Furniture about seven years ago. We had a lifetime warranty on the mechanism (thankfully!) as we have had to have someone come out several time for a broken mechanism & now the leather is splitting on the back cushion (not on a seam) & wear/thinning on the leather on the inside corners of the cushions. In going to their showroom we find they no longer offer lifetime warranties on their new recliners.

We also went to HiLife furniture & checked out their recliners & they say they have a lifetime warranty as the LazyBoy store here also said (LazyBoy was the most expensive of all of them). Seems when one spends a lot of $$ for a leather recliner it should last more than seven years?!

Does anyone have any ideas/info. that would lead us to a well made leather product that holds up better? The sales people discuss the different types/qualities of leather but it really didn't mean much to us!
