Things do not have to be centered. If you showed that exact pic with the TV being centered on the light it would look odd. Moving your furniture closer to the front door does not sound appealing but then maybe your front door is still far away. It's hard not seeing the entire room. Centering your TV on the grouping of furniture from which you watch TV makes more sense than worrying about a light. Hope that helps. I like the room.

Thanks for your input, alyx c! I have been going over this one for a while! We have decided to let it stay where it is. To move the furniture back towards the door does still leave an entryway but not as large. It will be a little unbalanced somewhere and I get the feeling that I will be bugged by the wall being unbalanced more than the ceiling. Thanks!

My husband has a thing about things being centered. I just seem to need wall hangings to be straight :-) Looking at your picture again and again not seeing the entire room it looks like if you had a floor lamp close to the TV wall centered on your ceining lamp that it would appear all more centers as you would like. Again, without seeing the whole room. :-) Good-luck.

Tv should be the focal point accpording to your seating arrangement... do not relate it with lighting.
