Beth, I see that no one has responded, so maybe this will be some help to you. This is a local MCM site the I recently discovered, and he has some interesting information on it. There are links to 3 MCM dealers (used furniture) in the DC Metro area. I visited one this past weekend. If you browse the sites, you may get an idea of what kinds of prices these dealers are asking in this area. Of course people shopping CL are looking for very low prices, IMO. But it's fun to look anyway. Good luck, Steve

I would also look on eBay for price comparisons. People will expect to pay less through Craigslist/private seller than "retail". Look at the "Buy it Now" pricing or Reserve it is revealed in order to see what is the price they would like to accept.

Thank you so much! I will look around. I think I'm just going to send the bedroom set to the auction. The auction people said they'd pick it up with the other, more valuable pieces I have. My mom is keeping the rocker, which is a good thing. Beth
