Great pics !! sorry haven't been here much, been at the 'bird watching forum' getting some ID's.. Blujay hiding peanuts in with the pansies. Also in with the mimulus & Fuchsia 'Gartenmeister Sidalaca Agastache foeniculum Anise Hyssop Blue and 'Alba' Yes Sharon, the seeds came from me.. I see you got the mixed to.. looks like we will have seeds from angelica gigas if you still want them.. I'd be interested in your Salvia superba ÂRose QueenÂ if its perennial.. ceresone, about 5 years ago i was diagnosed with alzheimers. I had quit driving because my distance judgement was way off and i fortgot where i was a couple times, and some other problems. I went to a neurologist in Fort Smith and had more tests done than i want to remember. After about a year i started getting better and better. The diagnosis was changed to a stroke and then i remembered when i had it. oddly enough it was in an optomatrist office during an eye exam. I kept telling the doctor that the writing kept looking like chinese writing and he finally sent me home. I've recovered almost completely except my spelling ability is the worst. I drive again and don't feel lost like i did. There are alzheimers support groups around. would that help any? I pray for all of you. I miss the smell of tomato plants (beleive it or not) and even the sweat dripping down my face. It made a cold shower feel so-o-o good. I have a wonderful neighbor that gives me goodies from his place. Right now i've got a large head of cabbage and 2 dozen real eggs. I'm going to make slaw with half the cabbage and cook the other half with hot links. william, we always grew Arkansas Travelers They seem to do so well up here. Don't know if i mentioned this before but we always swore by Drusba It's the first to ripen and bears till frost and tastes good. Glenda, am so glad the tooth extraction was painless and quick. Ive got new daylilies blooming each day too. My favorite so far is a bright red with a yellow stripe down the middle. It's a medium spider.and hurrah!! I don't have to move that one. All of my daylilies are named but lost track of nearly all the tags. I guess that makes them unnamed nameds. my yard needs weed eating and more leaf raking. There are days when i say i'm going to cut all my hardwoods but i can't do without all my neighbor wildlife and there are'nt many tracts of hardwoods left. Another sighting of our bear. (We're going to have to name the thing.) He showed up about halfway down the mountain. Went nose to nose with a neighbors big dog and they just smelled each other. neighbors DH told her to get a gun and hollered at the bear. The bear just looked at him and started to amble off. Neighbor came out with a 22 rifle and her DH said "I said a gun like shot gun. Well-l-l-l he did'nt say shotgun. so said bear ambled off into the woods. No one but me wants to call the forest rangers. This is exciting and he seems so gentle and has'nt done any harm. Thats why i think we need to resettle the bear. He has no fear of humans or dogs and thats not natural with these black bears. He is at some time going to get mad and some dog or person is going to get hurt. I'll wait awhile but just feel he has to go. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Going to therapy 3 times a week has really put a crimp in my web posting. vickie

Ceresone, I noticed that both of our postings were about at the same time. Hey, there was a time not so long ago when lil chicks here in Louisiana needed web feet to go outdoors. One thing is for sure, it will get wet again and then we (in Louisiana) will be asking for dry weather. Read about your need for small hay bales and that prompted me to respond with what we have found in our area. Most people in the hay business are only doing the large round bales and now they are even getting larger bales than those of a few years ago. A couple of individuals have gone into the small square bale business and what they do is they are trucking in the large round bales of selective quality hay from Texas. They unroll the round bales and reprocess it into square bale equipment. They have this equipment under large sheds and weather conditions are not a problem to them. They get a fair price and are getting more and more repeat customers. The key point for them is that they are selling quality hay and meeting a demand for small operators who do not need the large round bales. Just something I wanted to share with you and it may be beneficial to you if such operations exist in your area.

Hope i get to finish this post. Am having big problems with my MSN2 and it freezes up on me before i finish writing. Hav got a new one,and DD is going to help me set it up. We did'nt get a freeze up here and my petunias are blooming away. A friends mother finished picking her second crop of butterbeans thursday.She's down around Clarksville. Than 15 miles east was a heavy frost and everything was killed. Deer season started today and the idiots are out among the responsible hunters. We have a good bunch close to us but alongthe Mulberry river are some idiots and cattle,dogs and whatever will bite the dust.Hopefully no humans will be shot. Since i live in the woods we have leaves all over the ground. gld am like you and love to see the leaves on the ground. Still love to walk and kick the leaves as i go. Some people never grow up. Will have to rake enough up to cover my pots with piles of leaves,th rest will have to stay till spring. My tomato plant has grown another three inches but still no blooms. the little mater bit the dust. So i only have one plant now. ceresone and William,i hear you about the chase for tomatoes and it starts about ten minutes after you look at your first seed catalog in the winter. LOL!!!! William,i'd love to hear about the gardening practices in China, Do you get to see anything of chinese gardening? Will you have access to a computer while there? Christie, That was an ugly thing you did, telling us about eating watermelon while our mouths were watering LOL. i can't think of the kind we grew. (old age!!) but it's an old standby,medium size,round,darkgreen,with the wavy markings,red meat.Which one am i talking about? It does well here and has a great taste. This afternoon i've got to pick up some remains of my pot planting frenzy and some small limbs around that have fallen. I'd better close now while i can still post this. vickie

so far, if I added right I'm 10-5
Semper, if I added it up correctly, your 6-8
... my neighbor had to come over last night and dish me for picking Seattle over SF, as we are Bay Area natives. Hard to bet against SF right now. I thought this would be Oakland's week, being that they seem to always do well in KC, even on bad years--thought wrong... Dallas/Indi--I went with my gut on this one and got lucky. A surprise in Phili v Ten, too bad about NcNabb, one of the good guys of the league. After watching Denver last week, they appeared to be going south,I think it will continue... Tampa looked good last week even though they lost, so I picked them, they had a couple major injuries on D yesterday that will probably really hurt them next week...
