We recently finished our basement and did a polished concrete floor and there is no sealer on it. Since then we have noticed that we have a very noticeable effloresence issue. There is a constant dusty residue on the floor especially in the summer and it is a never ending cleaning job. We know that we are going to have to do something to make this issue better but we have no idea what to do. The house is about 10 years old. We have checked and fixed all drainage issues around the house and we have a sump pump.
