Hi I am changing my carpet floors to a wood floor. Initially I wanted to match my clear alder cabinets to the floors, so I ended up matching it perfectly to American cherry natural (3rd sample). However, I was told that it is better to miss match, so I chose the floors that I visually liked...Acacia...(1st is acacia natural but aged so with lots of edging and scuffing, 2nd is also acacia antiqued...but has less scuffing and is more smooth) I brought the samples home and still having a hard time deciding. The floors are for my second floor only...including study and bedrooms as well as the stairs...what are your thoughts... I have some pictures...the only cherry/alder wood fruniture on this floor is the study built in...everything else is pastel, gray or white...
