How to add shine on Heartwood Pine Floors?

Posted by fatlady (My Page) on

We installed Long-leaf heartwood pine floors about five years ago, finished with Tung Oil. We are selling our home now and would like to put a little "gleam" on the floors finish, without having to refinish them. What is the best way to add a little shine?

Thanks!

Do another coat of tung oil in a semi gloss finish. That is the only thing that should ever be used on your floors.

Wax and buff them?

Then the next owner has to sand all the way down to bare wood if he wants to recoat. Wax retards adhesion of any future finishes.
