| We are in the process of building a new staircase for our home. We are not doing it custom and I was wondering what other online stair systems do people recommend.
It seems that L.J. Smith is the most popular, but I was looking for something more "custom looking". Does anyone else know of a different manufacturer? When we do order, I will definitely go through a local retailer. Thanks! |

| Any good local finish carpenter will likely beat online prices by the time you factor in the labor to install. Online ordering is for those DIYers who could do it themselves but choose not to. You have to be able to do the the math properly and order properly and DIY the install. If you can't do the math or if you have to get a trade involved to do the install, then you just ate up any "savings" and should just use local labor for the whole thing. |
